i realized that if i was something other than human, it would decidedly be an otter. they are the most playful, loving, curious creatures BUT have extremely sharp teeth and a very thick skin, just in case. sounds about right.

These are inspiration images for a current project.

I’m focusing on the artwork, lifestyle, and environment of the ancient Minoans. I was fortunate to have visited Crete, where their civilization was based beginning in approx. 6000 BC, in 2006. I fell in love with the simplistic, straight-forward, and abstracted representations of nature, in particular aquatic life, that I saw at the ruins of Knossos in the form of frescoes, pottery, etc. So, basically I’ll be drawing inspiration from the same source that the Minoans drew inspiration thousands of years ago: the Mediterranean Sea. And the result will be a small collection of clothing.
